I grew up using my parents’ postal address as my own, so when I first heard of MPost and the concept behind it, I thought to myself, “Wow, what an awesome idea!! This is definitely a game changer.” The idea of converting a person’s mobile phone number to a post office address, therefore turning their phone into a post office box is pure genius. The service is very affordable, costing only Ksh. 400 per year. It improves the ease of accessing postal services and E-commerce sites while also increasing privacy because personal documents and shipments do not have to be accessible through a communal post office box. I’ve been using my mobile number as my postal address since I signed up for MPost. I have officially “moved out” of my parents’ house.

 

 

My role as CFO includes monitoring the firm’s financial health and assisting the organization in achieving both short-term and long-term objectives through strong strategic planning. I am also in charge of preparing the company’s portfolio for investor funding and ensuring that the resources acquired are used wisely.

Working with MPost has shown me how different its operations are from those of other types of businesses, and I am excited to add these new skills to my portfolio.

So far, it’s been a wonderful experience. It fills my heart with joy to wake up every day and go to work at a place that feels like home, to do work that I am passionate about while also learning. Our team leader serves as an example to all of us, teaching us the value of teamwork, perseverance, resilience, and prayer.

As MPost continues to grow and spread its reach across the world, I look forward to the day it will become a Unicorn, and I will be proud to have been part of its success story!

I am a Certified Human Resource Professional with good educational background and over 5-year expertise in HR policy, administration, management, teamwork, and leadership.

I am the Chief Operations Officer of MPost. My day-to-day responsibilities include supervising the call centre team and logistics department, liaising with the Postal Corporation of Kenya regarding product training, acting as a liaison between staff and the management team, training new employees, developing new products, and conducting in-house and Postal Corporation of Kenya training.

My time working for MPost has been fantastic. Working at a tech firm was a new challenge for me; I had to transition from journalism/mass communication to business and learn how technology works, especially in the digital realm. So far, the experience has been incredible, although there have been a few hurdles, as with any profession. The most significant challenge I had was assisting the business in navigating the covid-19 epidemic.

Addressing, I believe,  has been one of the most significant barriers to African commerce and growth. MPost has been effective to address the issue of sharing addresses, which leads to lost belongings, and missed chances such as applying for employment or even gaining a seat in a university or college. We are now able to implement address verification thanks to MPost.

I am grateful for the chance to serve as Operations Manager at MPost. This has made me proactive in the sense that I now have a varied knowledge of digital progress, knowing how quickly technology is evolving, and being a part of that journey. I can now mail my things without difficulties through e-commerce platforms since I now have a valid virtual address due to MPOST.

As the layman put it, change is inevitable; businesses must adapt to meet changing needs and requirements. I can say that I joined MPost when I was much younger, handling social media accounts and that I am now the Chief Operations Officer. This represents the firm’s and the founder’s ideals; as the company grows, so should each individual who works at MPost.
