Meet Winnie Karwitha, our Chief Financial Officer.

I grew up using my parents’ postal address as my own, so when I first heard of MPost and the concept behind it, I thought to myself, “Wow, what an awesome idea!! This is definitely a game changer.” The idea of converting a person’s mobile phone number to a post office address, therefore turning their phone into a post office box is pure genius. The service is very affordable, costing only Ksh. 400 per year. It improves the ease of accessing postal services and E-commerce sites while also increasing privacy because personal documents and shipments do not have to be accessible through a communal post office box. I’ve been using my mobile number as my postal address since I signed up for MPost. I have officially “moved out” of my parents’ house.

My role as CFO includes monitoring the firm’s financial health and assisting the organization in achieving both short-term and long-term objectives through strong strategic planning. I am also in charge of preparing the company’s portfolio for investor funding and ensuring that the resources acquired are used wisely.

Working with MPost has shown me how different its operations are from those of other types of businesses, and I am excited to add these new skills to my portfolio.

So far, it’s been a wonderful experience. It fills my heart with joy to wake up every day and go to work at a place that feels like home, to do work that I am passionate about while also learning. Our team leader serves as an example to all of us, teaching us the value of teamwork, perseverance, resilience, and prayer.

As MPost continues to grow and spread its reach across the world, I look forward to the day it will become a Unicorn, and I will be proud to have been part of its success story!
